The Maulana Dotch Golf Classic is a one-day golf tournament hosted at Hermann Park Golf Course, benefitting the junior golfers of Journey Through 18.  This annual tournament is an opportunity to raise funds to provide young girls in the Houston area with access to learning and playing the game of golf.  Golfers from all backgrounds, industries, and skill levels are invited to participate in a fun day on the golf course while giving back and supporting a worthy cause.

 Founded in 2022, Journey Through 18, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides girls with access to the game of golf throughout the Houston metropolitan area. This is accomplished by providing opportunities for girls to learn the game and use the skills they learn to help them grow and develop into successful young women. The goal is to grow the game of golf by focusing on creating new female junior golfers.

 Journey Through 18 provides year-round golf instructional programming, mentoring opportunities, and social activities to girls in the Houston area. We provide girls-only golf programming.  We also offer mentoring opportunities to the older girls and conduct activities to enhance their leadership, communication, and networking skills.

 Our golf program is the USGA/LPGA Girls Golf. We meet twice a month with girls to provide golf instruction and experience playing on the golf course. As a girl’s game develops, our focus shifts to tournament preparation.
